A Tale of Two Systems: Moving from Silos to Solidarity

This animated video highlights differences in how primary care and behavioral health funding streams are structured, how that has led to misunderstandings between the fields, and promising examples of partnerships that are breaking down these silos to transform care. It is intended to give state primary care and behavioral health associations (PCAs and BHSAs) a common starting point and understanding of each other’s context before embarking on collaborative efforts. It may also help with onboarding new leadership or other staff within these organizations. At the same time, funders can use this information to support collaboration between PCAs and BHSAs.
